Overview of Idea
“Put a bird…house on it!” To bring elements of nature to the city and provide the fresh, clean feeling of being in the outdoors with the birds and the breeze. We will build “green”-roof birdhouses that will be placed at businesses and homes throughout the city as icons of support for urban nature.
idea specifics: what will the $500 fund?
The funds will go towards buying materials such as wood, nails, bailing wire, any additional tools that we don’t already have. It will also fund promotional materials such as fliers that we will use to promote the project and some community work parties where we will invite the community to participate in the building of the birdhouses. The funds would also go towards providing food and refreshments for attendees who participate in the community work parties. And of course, we need to buy bird-seed to scatter around each birdhouse when they are mounted, as an official “open for business” welcoming gesture.
